Bring the goal you want explained
If another clinician has already discussed expansion, you can bring that proposal and any records you already have available. Ask the orthodontist to connect the width finding with your tooth-position and bite goals, explain reasonable options and identify who will review progress.
A personal proposal should make its scope understandable: the assessment and records, any proposed appliance, clinical review, later braces or aligners, stabilization and retention, and any separate referral or fees. The free consultation request does not establish that those components, imaging, MARPE treatment or surgery are included.
For a current appliance or treatment concern
Use your treating team's established contact route and individual instructions. Describe the concern and ask how it should be reviewed. A new-patient consultation request does not replace your current care arrangement or supply appliance-adjustment instructions.
